For many years, our community has been seen as a national example of missed opportunities due to our low voter turnout.
Our nation’s history of only passively encouraging our vote at best, and outright restricting our ability to vote in many instances impacts communities like LD29 more than others.
These are the efforts I fight against every day as your Senator. With your help, your voice and your vote, we can change this dynamic and force our seat at the table.
Today’s action steps are very easy ones. First, I need you to update your voter registration. Make sure you are registered at the correct address, with the political party that you prefer and update your preference for being on the Permanent Early Voter List so that you receive your ballot by mail.
Second, make sure your spouse, your kids, your neighbors, your extended family, your co-workers, your friends, etc. do the same. They can register in just a few minutes online and all you need is your Driver’s License number and your Social Security Number.
Third, post on all of your social media platforms that you participated in #NationalVoterRegistrationDay so that others can see and be influenced to do the same! You can use this sample post below:
I just updated my voter registration online at ServiceArizona.com so that I can join @SenQuezada29 and make my voice heard in the next election! Visit the site now to register to vote! #NationalVoterRegistrationDay
Thank you again for your activism. Together, we can create the AZ, the U.S.A. and the world that we all know we are capable of. More substantive action steps will be coming every week on a variety of different issues, so stay tuned!
As always, it is a privilege and an honor to serve as the voice of the people of LD29 as your State Senator. I’m proud to be your champion to challenge the status quo, give you a voice at the Capitol and promote the belief that justice, opportunity and prosperity should be available for all.
